Maidstone United co-owners Oliver Ash and Terry Casey aiming to sell the club by the end of the season as interested parties carry out due diligence
Maidstone United could be under new ownership by the end of the season.
That’s the timescale current co-owners Oliver Ash and Terry Casey are working towards as they look to sell up after 15 years.
Updating fans on the state of play in a club blog, Ash revealed that “several potential investors are currently doing due diligence with a view to taking a majority share of the club”.
“Nothing is done yet but things are moving in the right direction,” added Ash.

Addressing supporters, he said: “It sounds like a cliche, but ultimately you are the club, particularly as Terry and I seek to move on by the end of the season.”
Ash and Casey completed their takeover of Maidstone from Paul Bowden-Brown in 2010.

The Stones have also enjoyed considerable success on the pitch during their ownership, with four promotions and multiple FA Cup runs.
That’s all been achieved while running the club as a sustainable business - a rare achievement in non-league football.
“It bears repeating that while Terry and I own the business, we carry all the risk,” said Ash.
“We vowed back in 2010 that we would run the club as a profitable business and not subsidise the ongoing operations.
“This is partly because it is good business practice, partly because all successes are so much sweeter when not bought by lorryloads of cash - and partly
