Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews to attempt world record as he reflects on incredible transformation

Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews has hinted he's attempting a world record as he reflected on his major physical transformation.

The reality TV star, 35, shared a side-by-side comparison of his weight loss journey via Instagram. He admitted health and fitness 'never used to matter' to him - but now they are 'core pillars' of his life.

One photo showed Spencer papped topless while filming Made In Chelsea, wearing dark denim jeans with a black snakeskin belt and silver buckle. The other showed him now, topless in the gym showing off his toned physique, including his muscular arms and chiselled abs.

In a length Instagram statement, he reflected: "On the left I was photographed in the street whilst filming Made In Chelsea. Run down and unfit - living with a serious drinking problem, spending all of my time and money partying. I was lazy, inconsiderate and had a weak work ethic."

He continued: "My ego was inflated because I was a prominent character in a popular show and I felt like that would open doors for me. Since then, experience has taught me that good opportunities rarely present themselves without sustained hard work and effort. The person that works harder and wants it more will usually win…"

He added that he would have 'struggled to run a mile,' having 'no drive, discipline or determination.' Talking about himself now, he said: "On the right, I have made a concerted effort to change and no longer have issues with alcohol. I enjoy a solid and regular sporty routine consisting mostly of weightlifting and running. My mind is clear and my goals are limitless."
