Madden NFL 23: Cover honouring John Madden revealed

EA Sports has confirmed that the iconic NFL coach John Madden will grace the cover of Madden NFL 23 when the game releases this summer.

Of course, John Madden sadly passed away in December 2021 and he was both a Super Bowl winning head coach as well as an iconic colour commentator.

He was added to the Hall of Fame in 2006 and will now be on the cover of the new game.

June 1st 2022 is the 34th anniversary of the release of the very first John Madden Football game.

EA Sports has confirmed that not only will John Madden feature on the cover, they will also commit $2.5 million to the John Madden Legacy Commitment to Education charity, and dedicate a renovated field in honour of the great man.

Madden NFL 23 has three unique covers and they all pay tribute to a different chapter in his life and career.

The All Madden Edition of the game will feature artwork from Chuck Styles, highlighting John Madden as an icon of video games who helped grow the sport of American Football around the world.
