Brock Lesnar: WWE star legitimately made 'The Beast' laugh during Raw segment

Brock Lesnar is one of the best serious characters in the entirety of WWE. In as many words, he’s a fantastic straight man.

It wasn’t until his most recent run from 2021 to 2022 where Brock was able to show a different side of his character.

Lesnar was involved in some of the most entertaining WWE TV segments during that period, and fans enjoyed seeing him excel as a comedic babyface.

However, we saw glimpses of what a more light-hearted Lesnar would look like in January 2020.

In the build-up to the 2020 Royal Rumble, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, his manager Paul Heyman, and 24/7 Champion R-Truth shared the ring for a segment on Raw.

It’s since come out that Truth went out into the ring without a script, and he took it upon himself to try and be as entertaining as possible.

As you can see from the clip below, Truth’s comedy work was so spot on that even Brock, the most serious of characters was forced to break character and start laughing.

During the segment, Truth said that John Cena is his childhood hero. For context, Cena is 45, while Truth is 50.

But the line that really tipped Brock over the edge was when Truth said that he was going to throw Paul Heyman over the top rope, before Heyman had to tell him that it was his client that was in the match.

“You may be a big, big, big man but I know you will go flying over that top rope, Paul Heyman!”

Truth then pulled out of the match, which also got a pretty good reaction from the Lesnar too, before the multi-time World Champion decided to start attacking Truth.
