M62 LIVE updates: Huge queues and 70-minute delays amid 'multi-vehicle' crash
Huge queues are building on a stretch of the M62 this morning amid a 'multi-vehicle' crash.
Two lanes have been closed off on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway from junction 24 to junction 25, near Huddersfield. According to National Highways, traffic is queuing for around five miles up to the closure.
There are currently delays of around 70 minutes. Traffic officers are on the scene.

In a post on X, National Highways said: "The #M62 eastbound has 2 lanes (of 3) closed between J24 (#Huddersfield) and J25 (#Brighouse) due to a multi-vehicle collision. Traffic officers are on scene dealing with the incident. There are delays of approx. 70 minutes and 5 miles of congestion on approach."

The incident near Huddersfield on the M62 has cleard, but there is slow traffic elsewhere on the M62.
According to traffic alert system Inrix, an obstruction on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 10 and 11 has led to slow traffic on the road. All lanes have reopened but the motorway between the Croft Interchange and Birchwood Way is still affected.
Traffic appears to have returned to normal on the M62 now.
All lanes are open but long delays remain.
Traffic is still queuing for around 7 miles up to the previous closure.
