LIVE: Police cordon in place at Salford Quays after stabbing with probe underway - latest updates
A police cordon is in place in Salford Quays this morning after a stabbing.
Officers have taped off an area in MediaCity, close to the Alchemist next to the water. Police said they were called to the scene at around 5.50am this morning (Wednesday) to 'reports of a group of males fighting'.
A man - aged in his 20s - was found with a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital from the scene.

An investigation is now underway within the cordon. No arrests have been made at this stage, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
In a statement, the GMP spokesperson said: "At around 5.05am this morning (Wednesday 2 October 2024), we were called to reports of a group of males fighting at the Quays in Salford. Officers attended the scene and located a man in his 20s with a small stab wound to his leg, he has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not described as life-changing or life-threatening.
"No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
