Strictly Come Dancing live updates as Wynne Evans and Katya Jones perform following controversy

It is Saturday evening so that means one thing - it is time for Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. There has been controversy surrounding the show this week after Welsh contestant Wynne Evans placed his hand on his professional dance partner's Katya Jones's stomach.

Many viewers saw Katya awkwardly remove Wynne's hand and appear to ignore him when he tried do to a high five with her. The pair later apologised for the incidents calling them a "misjudged" inside joke.

Speaking on Radio Wales Wynne said he was "heartbroken" by the scandal. He said: "Firstly I would say that I'm absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day and it's hard. It's not nice to live in that time.

"But basically, Katya and I are really, really close, and we're really good friends and on Saturday night, we made a stupid joke. It was a stupid joke that went wrong. We thought it was funny. It wasn't funny. It has being totally misinterpreted. There is no real story, really and I feel weird apologising because I feel like I've not really done anything."

Elsewhere in the show Love Island's Tasha Ghouri and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec are hoping to avoid finding themselves in the dance-off again and Pete Wicks is taking on the rumba. We will bring you all the live updates from Strictly Come Dancing below.
