M62 LIVE traffic updates as long queues build due to 'overrunning roadworks'

There are long queues on the M62 this morning due to 'overrunning roadworks'.

According to National Highways, the planned works were due to end at 6am this morning on the westbound stretch of the motorway from junction 20 for Rochdale to junction 19 for Heywood. But 'due to an abnormal load movement', they are now overrunning.

The closure on the motorway is expected to now remain in place until 7.30am. Traffic is heavy up to the closure, with long queues building.
