M62 LIVE: Long delays on motorway after car fire
All traffic was held on the M62 near Rochdale this morning following a vehicle fire.
Queues are building as emergency services race to the scene at J19 A6046 Middleton Road (Heywood). Traffic was held back to J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island). It has since reopened but there are still lane closures and long delays.
It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured.

Long queues are still moving slowly on the M62 following the vehicle fire. We are still awaiting comment from Greater Manchester Police.
There are currently delays of 20 minutes against expected travel time, according to online traffic reporting system Inrix.
Traffic has been released on the M62, but one lane remains closed with huge delays.
There is currently congestion to J20 (Rochdale).
