M60 LIVE as motorway hit by flooding in 'severe' incident
The M60 has been hit by flooding leading to one lane being closed.
The anticlockwise exit slip road at junction 23 for Ashton-Under-Lyne has been affected by the incident. One lane is currently closed.
National Highways has categorised the incident as 'severe'. Congestion is heavy around the affected junction with traffic at a standstill.
It follows heavy rainfall in the region this morning (June 3). Light rain showers are expected to continue throughout the day.
According to National Highways, traffic is not moving on the anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 23 and 24 of the M60.
