M60 crash LIVE updates amid long delays following crash between motorbike and car near Barton Bridge
Queues are building on the M60 near the Trafford Centre following a collision between a car and a motorbike.
There is a heavy emergency presence on Barton Bridge resulting in two lanes being shut. Traffic is building and drivers have been told to expect severe delays.
The collision involved a motorbike and car, the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has said. It is understood that two people were injured and have been taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.
Inrix, the traffic monitoring site, said on it's website: "Severe delays, two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident on M60 anticlockwise from J11 A57 Liverpool Road (Barton) to J10 B5214 Trafford Boulevard (Trafford Centre). Congestion to J15 (Swinton Interchange) and along the A57 through Eccles."
Greater Manchester Police and NWAS have been approached for further information.
Transport for Greater Manchester have said on their website: "Due to a police incident one lane is closed on the M60. As a result, bus services are on diversion and will experience delays.
"Services will divert towards Trafford Centre travelling via Barton Road, Worlsey Road and Trafford Boulevard. They are experiencing delays up to an hour. Please allow plenty of time for your journey."
Traffic is still moving slowly along the M60.
