M6 'police incident' in Cheshire sees all lanes held
Traffic was being held on the M6 motorway in Cheshire tonight (Wednesday, June 4) due to a 'police incident'.
All lanes were being held between Junction 20 (Lymm Interchange) and Junction 19 (Knutsford).
The incident was first reported shortly before 10.30pm and the road had cleared by 11.10pm.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "M6 in both directions re-opened, traffic easing, police incident over from J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."

M6 in both directions re-opened, traffic easing, police incident over from J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."
Traffic now appears to be moving in the area. National Highways is not reporting a closure, however there are delays of around 30 minutes in each direction.

The incident was first reported shortly before 10.30pm. There is currently no further information on the nature of the incident.
Traffic cameras show long queues of traffic forming in each direction.
Traffic is currently being held in both directions on the M6.
