M4 stretch reopens after vehicle fire sparked delays

A section of the M4 in south Wales was shut due to a vehicle fire. The incident affected traffic in the Neath Port Talbot area, with the eastbound side of the motorway closed between junction 41 and junction 40. Join our WhatsApp news community here for the latest breaking news.

Initially it was just the exit slip road that was affected, but the M4 itself was then shut with traffic leaving the motorway at junction 41. Emergency services were called to the scene. The road has now reopened.
