M4 crash causes long delays near Newport
An accident caused long delays on the M4 around Newport on Friday morning (February 9). One lane was closed eastbound and traffic was queueing back to Cardiff. It happened between junction 27 High Cross and junction 26 Malpas Road at the Brynglas Tunnels.
Traffic monitors showed that delays were back to junction 29 Cardiff. Travel time was around 25 minutes in the area.
Police were at the scene according to Traffic Wales, the company which monitors the main routes in Wales. All lanes reopened by around 9.15am after recovery work was undertaken at the scene.
