Live updates as M4 closure at Cardiff causes long delays
Overrunning roadworks are causing delays on the M4 on Tuesday (February 20) morning. It meant the eastbound carriageway was closed between two busy junctions at Cardiff for an extra hour.
The resurfacing work between junction 33 Cardiff West and junction 32 Coryton was due to be finished at 6am, but Traffic Wales issued an update at 6.17am saying the carriageway remained closed.
The diversion was taking traffic down the A4232 to Culverhouse Cross, through Ely to Manor Way and back up to junction 32 Coryton.
The carriageway reopened just before 7am but there are still some residual delays between junction 34 Miskin and junction 33 Cardiff West.
