M4 crash causes hour long delays near Pyle as lanes closed both ways

Motorists travelling on the M4 between Junctions 37 A4229 (Pyle / Porthcawl) and Junction 38 A48 (Margam) can expect significant delays as lanes in both directions are blocked due to a crash.

Lane two remains blocked in both directions and traffic congestion is building up on the motorway and local area as traffic seeks an alternative.

Traffic monitoring service, Inrix, said the travel time in the area was approximately one hour.

It comes as the motorway is shut completely eastbound near Cardiff as traffic is led off at the sliproad. You can read the latest on that here.
