Luss boxer Hannah Rankin has World Title in sights ahead of Ema Kozin bout

Luss boxing star Hannah Rankin will fight for another world title next month after signing a deal with one of the biggest promoters in the sport.

Hannah will take on Slovenian Ema Kozin on November 18 in Manchester, live on TNT Sports, for the vacant WBC Super Welterweight Championship.

And last week Hannah signed a deal with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, the same firm who work with the likes of Tyson Fury and Joe Joyce.

Hannah, 33, said: “I am really excited about this opportunity.

“This is a great opportunity for me now. It has been a long time coming. I am so proud to be joining Frank and Queensberry and having such a platform in TNT Sports, who have fantastic sports on the channel.

“Being Scottish and having the chance to build myself here in the UK in front of British fans is brilliant. Having a few Scottish stablemates, I would love Frank to have a big show up in Scotland so I can box in front of my family and friends up there.

“That is on the cards and, when I become WBC world champion, I will be looking to unify the division. That is what I am aiming for.”

Promoter Frank Warren added: “I am so happy to bring such a decorated and respected fighter to work with us here at Queensberry.

“Hannah’s career has been an incredible success story, being a two-time world champion and fighting the best out there. I am so looking forward to bringing her onto our platform and giving her the showcase in Britain that she so deserves.”
