Luke Littler's World Darts Championship dream continues with another win as teenager plans kebab celebration upgrade

Teen sensation Luke Littler is through to the third round of the World Darts Championship with a stunning win over former UK Open champions Andrew Gilding.

'The Nuke' secured a 3-1 victory over the 20th seed to book his spot in the next round at the Ally Pally. The amped up crowd at the iconic venue hit Littler with chants of "you've got school in the morning." However, he showed maturity beyond his years in seeing off 53-year-old Gilding, who is more than three times his opponent's age.

Runcorn-born Littler raced into a 2-0 lead, which included a 46 checkout in the second of them before Gilding came back, coming out on top in three straight legs. But he didn't take his chances to finish off the youngster and Littler made him pay to win a scrappy third set and progress. Littler will now get to enjoy Christmas before the darts action resumes, when he'll face Canada's Matt Campbell in the last 32.

After celebrating his first round win with a kebab, he plans the same again, but wants to to pick his own fillings after being less than impressed with what his manager produced on Wednesday. On the victory, he said: "I think when I went two up I gave it a bit and lost all my energy. I was nervous as it is, I don't know how I got over the line but I've done it.

"I said to myself this morning, but when I went 2-0 up I just put loads of pressure on my shoulders. But I've done it."
