Teenage sensation Luke Littler will be taking on Luke Humphries in the 2024 World Darts Championship final tonight.

Littler, aged just 16, has become the youngest ever player to reach the final in an incredible run that has captivated the country. The Runcorn-born and Warrington-raised star has now earned £200,000 in prize money from his incredible exploits at the Alexandra Palace over the last three weeks.

He will be facing Luke Humphries, who has become the world number one ranking by reaching the final. Humphries has now won 18 games in a row and averaged 108.74 in his semi-final, which is in the top 10 in the history of the tournament.

Littler produced his biggest statement yet in the semi-finals as he downed eighth seed Rob Cross 6-2 in stunning fashion.

Darts legend Dennis Priestley reckons Luke Littler will not win his first World Championship crown tonight - but says the youngster could still become a 10-time world champion in the future.

Priestley told Genting Casino: "We’re all looking to see if he can improve and that will happen if the people around him don’t allow him to get distracted. Looking at his age, he will get better and he doesn’t have to get much better to be the best in the world.

"He’s virtually as good as the rest now but he just has to remain calm and grounded. The world’s his oyster. He can become a 10x world champion if he carries on the way he’s going.

"Luke Humphries will win the tournament for me. I thought the pressure would be too much for him but he’s dealt with it and he’s got it all done."
