LSU RB Releases Statement After Being Arrested On Attempted Murder Charge

LSU running back Trey Holly is declaring his innocence after being charged with second-degree attempted murder.

Holly turned himself in earlier in the week after being accused of second-degree murder aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. Holly was one of three people arrested following a shooting at an apartment complex in Union Parish, Louisiana, according to Fox News. He's currently suspended indefinitely as the situation plays out.

However, Trey Holly claims the situation is a massive case of mistaken identity and that he's 100% innocent.

"As you guys know I was recently arrested on 3 felony charges. I have been falsely identified, accused, and arrested. I am 100% innocent and the people that know me know this is not my character at all. I was not involved in the incident at all," Holly wrote on Facebook Saturday night.

The LSU running back further added, "I was at home which is where the incident took place. I turned myself in because I was notified of an arrest warrant and I wanted to fully cooperate. Due to this being an ongoing investigation I cannot give many details. To my fans I’m sorry for the confusion but you guys know this is not me at all. I will come back better than ever and I look forward to proving my innocence."

The situation is still developing and fluid. Holly has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Check back to OutKick for more updates as we have them on Holly's status with LSU and his case.
