Lorraine Kelly addresses why she's been missing from own episodes of ITV show as she's 'monitored'

Lorraine Kelly appears to have addressed why she has been missing from her own ITV show after she began being 'monitored' of her absences. The presenter has been at the helm of her own self-titled show on the network since 2010.

But there are certain occasions when Scottish TV star Lorraine isn't fronting her own show with the likes of Loose Women's Christine Lampard and Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh stepping in.

However, since the start of the year, a tongue-in-cheek X, formerly known as Twitter, account has emerged tracking when she is and isn't hosting her programme. Named ‘Where is Lorraine?’, the social media profile posts every day whether or not the presenter, 64, is hosting Lorraine, which airs weekdays every weekday from 9am before This Morning.

The bio on the account also reads: "Keeping track of when the actress Lorraine Kelly decides to host her own show." And they have been committed with the latest on Friday (January 16) recognising that Lorraine had been replaced by Christine at the helm.

However, the TV star has now spoken out about her reason for not always being present. Taking to X, Lorraine wrote on Friday: "Morning and huge thanks to the wonderful @clbleakley for stepping in on Fridays so I can get back home." Lorraine, who lives in Glasgow, then added: "Great to see mum doing really well and I appreciate your kind messages."
