'Look good in red' - Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw react to Mason Mount's Manchester United debut

Mason Mount made his first Manchester United start in the friendly win over Leeds United following his summer transfer.

The midfielder joined United as the club's first signing from Chelsea. The Reds have paid an initial £55m for the England international who was entering the final 12 months of his Stamford Bridge contract, with a further £5m in performance-related add-ons.

The 24-year-old made his United debut in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Leeds in Oslo. Mount started the game in Norway as he got his first 45 minutes in a United shirt under his belt and impressed with his showing.

Mount came off at the break as Erik ten Hag named a completely different and youthfulteam for the second half. Noam Emeran put United in front on the hour mark, finishing off a counter-attack to slot home, before Joe Hugill fired home with fewer than 10 minutes remaining after being teed up by Shola Shoretire.

Mount took to Instagram to give his verdict on his first United game and his experience in Norway. In a brief post, he wrote: "Thanks for the support, Oslo!"

And several of Mount's new United team mates have responded to his United debut. Luke Shaw, who is already familiar with Mount thanks to the duo being regulars with England, and Bruno Fernandes gave their support to United's new number seven. Shaw wrote: "You look good in red," and Fernandes added: "Looking sharp."
