Liverpool believe that Manchester City's impending signing of Kalvin Phillips will put them in pole position to land Jude Bellingham next summer. The Sun report that after the Citizens saw their £45 million bid for Phillips accepted by Leeds United, the Reds' chances of signing the 18-year-old have increased.
With Pep Guardiola's midfield now jam-packed with talent, Liverpool could more easily offer Bellingham game time. Anfield chiefs are lining up a swoop for the English wonderkid next summer and Mirror Football reported earlier this month that Klopp was willing to wait to land his signature.
