Liverpool transfer round-up: Reds 'willing to meet' Asensio wage demands with Rabiot linked

Liverpool's summer transfer window got off to an explosive start with the addition of three new signings and the departure of long-serving forward Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, but it is expected that things may severely quieten down until the start of next season.

Jurgen Klopp's side completed their first signing with the arrival of Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho, before Darwin Nunez arrived in a big-money deal from Benfica. The Reds' summer business was wrapped up when Calvin Ramsay joined from Aberdeen last month.

With Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi already gone, coupled with a number of loan departures, the Reds could still be on course to say farewell to more members of their first-team squad, including Naby Keita and Joe Gomez. Elsewhere, the Reds are reportedly willing to meet Marco Asensio's wage demands, while Adrien Rabiot continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio. According to Spanish news outlet Sport, via Paisley Gates, Liverpool have made an offer to Asensio to see him move to Anfield.

The report adds that Real Madrid are not willing to meet Asensio's wage demands, but add that Liverpool and other clubs in the Premier League can. It has been said that the Spaniard is asking for between £4m-£5m a year wage, something that Liverpool are reportedly willing to meet.
