Liverpool look to have lost out in their pursuit of Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni after reports emerged that the youngster has agreed to join Real Madrid.

The two clubs were vying for the 22-year-old's signature after Monaco chief Paul Mitchell admitted the club were ready to sell the defensive midfielder. Now RMC Sport claim that Tchouameni has made his mind up on a switch to the Bernabeu in a deal worth around €80m (£68.6m) plus bonuses.
