Liverpool transfer round-up: Reds sent Harry Kane message after Aurelien Tchouameni blow

Liverpool have enjoyed a season to remember - winning the FA Cup and EFL Cup, reaching the Champions League final and finishing second in the Premier League.

They've now completed a full set of honours under Jurgen Klopp - bar the Community Shield - and will be keen to win even more trophies next term. Yet the Reds will need fresh talent if they're to knock Premier League champions Manchester City off their perch.

Here, takes a look at all the latest transfer rumours coming out of Anfield - including an alternative to a missed target and a shock new striker.

Liverpool are interested in signing Ibrahim Sangare as an alternative to Aurelien Tchouameni, according to Dutch journalist Marco Timmer, via This Is Anfield.

The Reds have missed out on Tchouameni, 22, after Real Madrid reportedly agreed an £80million transfer fee with his current side Monaco. Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea were also linked with the France international.

Liverpool are now thought to be considering a move for Sangare, 24. The defensive midfielder played 49 games for PSV Eindhoven last season, helping them win the KNVB Cup. He has three years left on his existing deal.

It's unclear whether Liverpool will attempt to sign Sangare this summer after agreeing a new one-year contract with James Milner. The Reds may decided to wait until next year, when Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, 18, is expected to become available.
