Liverpool sign Fabio Carvalho after agreeing £7.7m deal with Fulham
Liverpool have completed the signing of Fabio Carvalho after agreeing a £7.7 million deal with Fulham.
The 19-year-old came close to joining Liverpool in the January transfer window but the paperwork linked with the transfer was not completed in time before the deadline.
Carvalho ended up remaining at Fulham for the rest of the season but Liverpool have now reached an agreement with the west London club which will see them pay £5m, plus a further £2.7m in add-ons.
Liverpool have also included a 20 per cent sell-on clause in their agreement with Fulham.
Carvalho has been one of Fulham’s standout performers in the Championship this season, with 10 goals and eight assists in 36 league appearances.
A statement from Liverpool read: ‘Liverpool FC can confirm Fabio Carvalho will join the club this summer.
‘The 19-year-old forward will officially complete a switch to the Reds on July 1.
‘Carvalho played a key role in Fulham’s promotion back to the Premier League in 2021-22, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists in 36 games as Marco Silva’s side won the Championship title.
