Liverpool icon sends Sir Jim Ratcliffe warning over Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag

Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish has offered advice to Sir Jim Ratcliffe after his recent comments about Manchester United.

Ratcliffe and Ineos Group completed a 25 per cent takeover of United last week and will take charge of footballing operations at Old Trafford. Work has already gotten underway to make changes behind the scenes at United.

Omar Berrada has been appointed as the new CEO following his exit from Manchester City. United are also looking to appoint Dan Ashworth in an inaugural sporting director role, a position he currently holds at Newcastle who recently announced he would be placed on gardening leave.

Ratcliffe spoke after the 25 per cent takeover of United was completed, where he sent a message to rivals City and Liverpool. The 71-year-old referenced the famous quote from Sir Alex Ferguson with his long-term plans for United.

"We have a lot to learn from our noisy neighbour [Man City] and the other neighbour [Liverpool]," Ratcliffe told reporters last week.

"They are the enemy at the end of the day. There is nothing I would like better than to knock both of them from their perch. Equally we are the three great northern clubs who are very close to one another.

"They have been in a good place for a while and there are things we can learn from both of them. They have sensible organisations, great people within the organisations, a good, driven and elite environment that they work in. I am very respectful of them but they are still the enemy."

Now Dalglish has offered advice to Ratcliffe
