Liverpool finish with a flourish to sink gritty Wolves

Liverpool overcame a troubling opening 45 minutes at Molineux to claim a 3-1 victory over Wolves that sees the Reds, temporarily at least, move to the top of the Premier League table.

The Merseysiders were under the cosh in the first half and fortunate to only trail by a goal at the interval. Hwang had the home crowd in full voice when he tapped in at the far post following excellent work from Pedro Neto after just seven minutes.

Jurgen Klopp's side picked things up considerably after the break and eqaulised through Cody Gakpo's 55th-minute effort, before they hit the front with five minutes remaining after a superb move was finished off by Andy Robertson.

Harvey Elliott put a gloss on the scoreline in injury-time with a deflected effort to move Liverpool to 13 points after five league games.
