LIVE: Town centre road taped off with CSI at the scene - latest updates

A large police scene is in place in Bolton town centre this morning.

Bank Street has been closed off since around 8am. Crime scene investigators are currently at the scene.

The road is closed from near Churchgate down Manor Street and the junction with Folds Road. Traffic is building up in the area as drivers are forced to find other routes through town.

Witnesses have also reported seeing an ambulance pull away from the scene.

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more details.
