The three questions Ruben Amorim needs to answer at Man United

Former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov believes Ruben Amorim has several questions to answer as the Sporting boss is set to take over at Old Trafford on November 11.

With an impressive spell at Sporting on his CV, which now includes a stunning 4-1 win against Manchester City in the Champions League, Amorim's capabilities will soon be put to the test in the Premier League. He faces the challenge of moulding a struggling United squad that ended up eighth last time out and still hovers in the lower half of the league despite a £200m overhaul in the summer.

Although Pep Guardiola was quick to note that Amorim can't face him again in Europe this season, their Premier League encounters promise intrigue. Berbatov highlighted Amorim's favoured 3-4-3 setup that dismantled City, yet whether he can implement this system with the players at United remains uncertain.

Speaking at the 'Extra Added Time' campaign launch by LiveScore, Berbatov said: "I think that, based on what he achieved in Portugal, I think winning the two titles and the cup as well, based on all this it's a good appointment. He's a manager that obviously has a winning mentality.

"On the other hand, the Portuguese league, we cannot compare it to the Premier League because the Premier League is one of, if not the, best in the world. So now it's going to be a big change for him coming to United, where normally you have big players, which means big egos so now you need to know how to manage them," reports the Mirror.
