Live updates as obstruction closes part of M4 Severn bridge

One lane of the Prince of Wales Bridge was closed eastbound because of what has been described as an "obstruction" on the M4 bridge over the River Severn on Thursday morning.

Traffic Wales had said that they are dealing with a vehicle that has broken down in the area. Traffic cameras are showing that queues were building quickly in the area.

The organisation that monitors the roads network in Wales says: "Lane one currently in place due to a broken down vehicle. Delays in the area."

They confirmed that the vehicle had been removed and all lanes re-opened again around 7.30am.
