Live updates as M4 multi-vehicle crash causes delays with three lanes shut near Coldra

A multi-vehicle crash is causing long delays on the M4. Three lanes are closed westbound and delays of an hour are expected.

The crash happened between junction 23A for Magor services and junction 24 Coldra just after 9am on Thursday. Lanes one, two, and three of three are closed with traffic passing slowly on the hard shoulder.

A Traffic Wales statement said: "Heavy congestion travelling westbound from junction 23A Magor due to a multi-vehicle collision at junction 24 Coldra. All lanes are currently blocked and traffic is utilising the hard shoulder. Allow extra time if you're driving in the area and be prepared to stop."
