Live updates as huge fire erupts in Newport

A large fire has erupted near Newport docks and witnesses have reported seeing fire engines rushing to the scene.

A massive cloud of black smoke can be seen by residents across the city, and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed crews are in attendance.

A spokesperson for SWFRS said: "We received a call at approximately 14:44 to reports of a fire at Felnex Industrial Estate, Newport.

"Crews and appliances (including engines and a water bowser) from Malpas, Maindee and Duffryn are in attendance.
