There is currently a fire at the Royal Gwent Hospital's Outpatients Department in Newport, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has confirmed.
According to the health board, the department has been evacuated and emergency services have arrived at the scene. They have also warned that all outpatient appointments have been cancelled on Wednesday and that all inpatients and staff at the department are safe.
In a statement shared on Twitter at around 9.25AM this morning, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board wrote: "We are currently dealing with a fire at the Royal Gwent Hospital Outpatients Department. "The department has been evacuated and the South Wales Fire and Rescue service are on scene.
