Two M4 crashes cause major rush hour delays - live updates

Two accidents on the M4 on Monday morning are causing major delays for rush hour commuters.

There are three miles of queues after a multi-vehicle accident blocked one lane of the eastbound carriageway between junction 37 Pyle and junction 36 Bridgend at Sarn Services. The traffic cameras are showing delays of around 15 minutes in the area.

All lanes re-opened around 8.45am but delays remain in the area.

There was also an accident at around 7.30am on the eastbound carriageway at Newport between junction 24 Coldra and junction 23A Magor Services. All lanes have re-opened but there was still a lot of congestion back to Malpas road.

Traffic is slowly starting to ease and return to normal for the time of day.
