Live updates as armed police descend on two Cardiff streets
Police officers including specially trained firearms officers have been pictured on two streets in Cardiff. South Wales Police announced at 12.15am on Tuesday that Clare Road and Clive Street were closed due to a "police incident."
They updated their message at 2.10am to say Clare Road has reopened, but Clive Street remains closed.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Update at 02.10am, Clare Road has been re-opened. Clive Street still remains closed.
"Road Closures: South Clive Street in junction with Beecher Avenue, Clare Road in junction with Pentre Street in the Grangetown area.
"It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience."
