Live updates as A487 is shut both ways in Ceredigion

There is currently queuing traffic in Ceredigion following a crash. Traffic monitoring service, Inrix, has said that the A487 is closed in both directions following a collision between Chapel Street in Taliesin and Maes-y-Deri in Talybont near Aberystwyth.

Their traffic update reads: "A487 in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Chapel Street (Taliesin) to Maes-Y-Deri (Talybont)". Dyfed-Powys Police has also confirmed there are delays, with diversions in place from Tre'r Ddol towards Borth.

On social media, the police force has warned: "There are currently delays due to a collision. Diversions from Tre'r Ddol towards Borth. Please be patient and take an alternative route if possible or plan extra time into your journey. Thank you."
