LIVE: Trial of Benjamin Mendy continues after jury told woman 'did not want to be here anymore' after allegedly 'being raped' by Blues player
The trial of City defender Benjamin Mendy continues today. Mr Mendy, 28, denies eight counts of rape against five women; one count of sexual assault; and one count of attempted rape.
The offences are alleged to have taken place on five different occasions at his home between October 2018 and August last year. Mr Mendy's co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 41, from Eccles, Salford, has also pleaded not guilty to eight counts of rape; and four counts of sexual assault, relating to eight women.
On Friday, jurors heard a young woman 'did not want to be here anymore' after allegedly 'being raped' by Mr Mendy. She told Chester Crown Court she 'just wanted [her] life to end' after alleged being sexually attacked by Mr Mendy.
Jurors previously heard she went back to the footballer's house with other women following a Sunday evening drinking session in a bar.
