LIVE: Road closed by police after car hits cyclist - latest updates

A residential road has been closed off in Salford this evening (Monday, January 13) following a serious crash. A car reportedly struck a cyclist along Littleton Road earlier this afternoon.

Police and paramedics are currently at the scene beside Salford Sports Village, with a full road closure in place in both directions amid investigations.

It is understood the cyclist has been taken to hospital from the scene. Officers have taped off the road between Oaklands Road and Whitewater Drive.

Further details surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed by police. GMP has been approached for a full statement.
