Live polls, campaigning and updates from General Election 2024 as Keir Starmer visits Wales

We are less than 24 hours away from the polls opening in the 2024 General Election and the party leaders are engaged in a final push for votes. Labour leader Keir Starmer began the day with a visit to Whitland in Carmarthenshire where his party is in a three-way battle with Plaid and the Conservatives for the new seat of Caerfyrddin.

Current polling suggests that the Tories could be completely wiped out in Wales, although Rishi Sunak's party is still in with a change of winning two seats in mid Wales - Brecon, Radnor and Cwmtawe as well as the Montgomeryshire and Glyndwr seat. The latest YouGov poll suggests that Reform are currently on course to win the second most votes in Wales.
