President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will probably not attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Acting Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidny will take part in the opening of the Olympics from Ukraine, the French ezine Le Parisien reported.

"In recent days, Kyiv has hinted that the Ukrainian President will be present in the capital, but has not confirmed this," the publication said on the eve of the opening ceremony on Friday.

It is reported that U.S. President Joe Biden will also not come to Paris because he has been diagnosed with COVID-19, but U.S. First Lady Jill Biden is expected to visit.

Such high-ranking guests will arrive: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.

British Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III and the Prince of Monaco arrived for a meeting of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Monday, both of these countries are its members. King Felipe VI of Spain is also expected. Denmark will be represented by King Frederick X, Queen Mary and Princess Benedikte. In addition, the Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is also a member of the IOC, was seen in Paris.

No official representative of the Russian Federation was invited to the opening ceremony. And their athletes, as it became known earlier, will perform in a neutral status and will miss the ceremony, as well as representatives of Belarus.
