Police have cordoned off an area near Moston this evening amid reports of a serious incident. Albine Street and part of the pavement along Moston Lane is taped off with police at the scene.

Pictures and videos at the incident show an ambulance and paramedics also in attendance outside the California Wines shop.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a fight on Moston Lane at around 3:05pm this afternoon (Tuesday 16 July).

"One woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. They remain in custody."

There are unconfirmed reports that police were called to reprots of an attack in Moston this afternoon.

No details have yet been confirmed by Greater Manchester Police, who remain in attendance.
