LIVE motorway traffic updates with long queues on M6 and M60 after crashes

Traffic is heavy on stretches of both the M60 and M6 motorways this morning after a number of crashes.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, one lane has been shut off on the M60 clockwise near the Stockport Pyramid. It is shut between junction 27 to junction one.

Traffic is slow with queues building up to the lane closure. Congestion is currently back to junction 23 for Ashton.

There are also long queues on the M6 motorway this morning with all traffic being held on a stretch of the southbound carriageway. Traffic has been stopped due to a crash from junction 28 for Leyland to junction 27 for Standish.
