Scarlets v Cardiff LIVE: TV channel, kick-off time, teams and updates

Wales scrum-half Gareth Davies will make his 250th appearance for the Scarlets today as they face Cardiff in what should be a mouth-watering Welsh derby in Llanelli.

Davies is just the third Scarlets player since 2003 to reach 250 appearances with Phil John and Ken Owens ahead of the 34-year-old. The Scarlets also welcome back openside flanker Josh Macleod who has been on the sidelines for nine months with a knee injury. Dwayne Peel's side are also boosted by the return to fitness of Wales tighthead Henry Thomas and outside-half Sam Costelow who all start while Scotland prop Alec Hepburn, openside Dan Davis and powerful centre Eddie James are on the bench. But the Scarlets - who claimed a credible 20-20 draw in Treviso last weekend - are without influential Tongan pair Sam Lousi and Vaea Fifita.

Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt has also named a strong starting XV with outside-half Callum Sheedy set to go head-to-head with Wales rival Costelow. Wales stars Cam Winnett, Mason Grady and Ben Thomas also start in the backline. In the pack new signing Dan Thomas, who was excellent in the victory over Zebre last Friday, is named at openside flanker against his former club.

Kick-off: 5.15pm on Premier Sport – or scroll down for LIVE updates
