LIVE: Main road closed due to 'overturned' car - latest updates

One of the main roads in Stockport has been closed after a car reporetedly overturned. Higher Bents Lane in Bredbury has been closed between the junctions with Queens Road and Newlyn Drive.

The traffic service Inrix says this is 'due to an overturned car.' It is not yet known if anyone has been injured. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been approached for further information.

Congestion is said to be forming which stretches back to Redhouse Lane on one side, and Harrytown in Romiley on the other.
