LIVE: M60 traffic updates as lanes shut following crash

A crash involving two cars is causing queues to build on the M60. Two lanes have been shut off on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the motorway before J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout).

The traffic monitoring tool, Inrix says: "Queueing traffic and two lanes closed due to accident, two cars involved on M60 anticlockwise before J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout).”

A traffic alert issued by National Highways says normal traffic conditions are expected in just over an hour's time.

The alert reads: "M60 anti-clockwise between J27 (Stockport) and J25. Accident.There are two of three lanes closed. Normal traffic conditions are expected between 19:45 and 20:00 on 29 December 2023."

According to traffic alert service Inrix, traffic is now coping well.

Inrix says: "Two lanes closed due to accident, two cars involved on M60 anticlockwise before J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout). Traffic is coping well."
