LIVE: Huge emergency services response as main road closed both ways after 'serious crash' - updates

Emergency services are responding to a 'serious crash' in east Manchester this morning.

The A57 Hyde Road is currently closed at Woodland Avenue, near Debdale Park. The road is closed in both directions, according to Transport for Greater Manchester.

Pictures show police officers and paramedics on the scene, with a car on its roof. A cordon is in place.

TfGM said: "A57 Hyde Road, Reddish Bridge is closed in both directions due to a police incident near Woodland Ave. @StagecoachGM for bus diversions. #TfGMTraffic @HighwaysNWEST."

A tweet posted by Stagecoach said: "Routes 201, 202, 203, 205 Due to a serious RTC on the A57 Hyde Rd at Debdale Park the road is closed, services will divert via Mount Rd, Barlow Rd & Gorton Rd in both directions until further notice, please allow extra time for your journey with us this afternoon."
