LIVE: Alan Turing Way closed by police near Etihad after serious crash - updates
Alan Turing Way has been closed by police this afternoon following a serious crash near to the Etihad football stadium.
Police, fire crews and paramedics are in attendance at the busy junction with Ashton New Road. A number of police vehicles have been seen blocking the road and diverting traffic.
The crash appears to have occurred at the traffic light junction near to the Velopark Metrolink tram stop. The northbound carriageway has been blocked off by officers at the scene.
Further details have not yet been confirmed but Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for a statement.
