Lisandro Martinez ignoring Man United advice sums up what he thinks of Ruben Amorim
Manchester United's Lisando Martinez has returned early to England to be fit for Ruben Amorim following his recent injury setback.
The 26-year-old defender picked up an injury during United's 3-0 victory over Leicester City before the international break. Despite this, he travelled to Argentina with plans to participate in World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Paraguay but was ruled out after further medical assessment.
Although United had given Martinez permission to stay in South America for the entirety of the break, he chose to return to the club's Carrington training ground to focus on his recovery. Having started 10 of United's 11 Premier League matches this season, Martinez is eager to impress under new management.

The problem may have been worsened by delayed flights en route to international duty, leading to a firm decision upon arrival in Argentina not to take any further risks, reports the Mirror. Amorim initiated his stint in Manchester last week and is gearing up to familiarise himself with the team on the training grounds.
The configuration of his defensive line-up, already a hot topic due to his preference for a three-at-the-back system, has become an even more pressing issue with Martinez's recent injury.
